On this one-day Conflict Management training course in Cardiff delegates will learn how to manage and resolve conflict with professionalism and confidence. On our one day Conflict Management training course in Cardiff delegates will cover the following topics:


Causes of conflict: Understand the underlying reasons why conflict occurs in the first place.


Non-verbal communication: Learn about microexpressions, body language, personal space rules and para-language.


Verbal communication: Define verbal communication and active listening skills.


Communication breakdown: Learn why communication breaks down in the first place and what you can do to try and de-escalate the situation.


Communication resolution models: Understand the 3 conflict models and which one to implement in any given scenario.


Warning signs and escalation: Identify the warning signs that conflict is brewing and when these signs become potentially dangerous.


When communication doesn't work: After the conflict models have been exhausted learn the next stage in reducing the conflict with definitive action.


Self-defence: Understand the legal arguments of using self-defence. Learn a variety of breaks and holds when faced with aggressive situations.
