On this half-day Managing Group Conflict training delegates will learn how to spot the initial signs of a group conflict, this will enable them to approach the situation in a well-considered and professional manner. Delegates will learn the different types of group conflict and how they need to be resolved in different ways. A key area of conflict management is understanding the underlying causes of the conflict, on this course delegates will analyse why they are likely to occur and how they can be prevented in the future.
Managing and resolving a conflict can be an extremely stressful event for anybody to deal with, it is only human behaviour to avoid conflict. However if the situation is avoided it can lead to further more challenging problems. On this course delegates will learn a range of strategies to resolve group conflict. We will also cover understanding the fundamentals of group dynamics which includes Lewin's, Tuckman's and Belbin's theory of group development. Delegates will also look at a range of easy to follow de-escalation models to reduce conflict.
